Today, according to rumor, we are going to have some excitement in our side yard.
Our neighbor has arranged to have our shared fence replaced. The man brought the materials and stacked them in their back yard on Friday. I showed him our side of the fence and he explained that they were going to be roughing up our plants a bit. I told him I didn’t think we were attached to the grape vine that never bears fruit and we would take care of it. Hub Man concured about its removal and we set to on it yesterday. It was a delightful opportunity to clear out the side yard in a most satisfying way.
Sunny, Ben, Fiona and I are awaiting the arrival of the workers.
We are ready.

I feel like I own this side of the yard again. It had been left to go wild for too long.
The garden itself looks a little odd with all the stuff piled around, but it’s looking good anyway.

While we were working out there yesterday, I caught a glimpse of something red in the tomato foliage.
Seems like my plants have been getting down to business and I had missed something hiding in the leaves...

Guess who is going to make fresh tomato soup today?

Such a contentment of
industrious endeavors
just makes my pin feathers
tingle.
I think we should bake
cookies for the workmen.
What do you think?
Snickerdoodles should be
just the thing.

COOKIES!
Yippee!
(Really, the things these three females get excited about baffles me beyond words.)
Well that settles it.
No cookies for you!
(It’s gone nine o’clock. Where are these so called workers? I thought they would be here by now. Slackers. Keep your silly little cookies.I don’t like Snickerdoodles anyway.)
(So there.)
As you wish.
