Ben and Sunny have a friend staying over.

Meet Bobby...

He has chosen a sunny spot for his morning lounging...

He may look like a foo foo dog, but Bobby is all boy. The first thing this morning, he ventured forth into the wilds of the back yard and promptly got into the newly cleared out tomato bed and got his paws all muddy. Then he found something somewhere to roll in. I’m not sure what it was, but it doesn’t smell like flowers if you know what I mean.

I may have to give him a bath before the day is out. I may wait to get permission from his owner who said she might call during the day sometime.

He was a quiet overnight guest, spending his sleeping hours curled up in a big blanket in an oversized crate. Never made a peep. Good boy!

As soon as the grass dries off, I am going to finish clearing out our raised beds, and if I really get my act together, I will plant this year’s cover crop of crimson clover.

I can’t believe it’s already time to do that.
Though you won’t hear me complain about the cooler weather. This, I welcome with open arms.

Okay, I think I will go now and actually dig out a pair of fuzzy socks for my feet. It’s chilly in here!

Woo Hoo!

What is it that attracts boys to any form of mud or muck? lol

I have some garden chores too........ just need to find some energy for the clean up. Planting was way more fun. :)

If he's stinky and he's staying in your home you don't need permission to bathe him. You might need a whip and a chair but you don't need permission.... I'm just sayin'....

Awww. Hey Bobby! You're a cutie.
Of course, *I* can't smell you. lol
There is a lot of yard work going on up in the mountains, too. Not quite done, but feels so good to be half way there!

What a little cutie Bobby is! (And no, you don't need permission to bathe a guest dog. Nobody in their right mind would object!)

My little Jethro snarls like a real boy, but he doesn't like dirty or smelly things. He doesn't even like to get his feet wet when it rains. He does, however, LOVE baths. Ellie, on the other hand, feels none of his aversion to dirty, stinky, or nasty things. Nor does she have anything against eating walnuts in my bed-- and leaving the shell fragments behind, just to torture me. But, alas, she's not wild about the bath tub. *sigh* I guess as fur parents we don't get to have everything our way.
