The Hard Part
Sun Dec 18 2011

A little bit ago, Coco left with her prospective adopter. She is going on the condition that she gets along with the other dog in the house.

I think she should do fine, given her experience here.

We are going to miss the little fuzz bottom.

She was quite the looker...

I couldn’t decide which photo I liked best, so you are getting all of the good shots.

Her new person brought a friend to drive her home who had her three Shelties waiting in the car. Coco came from a one person, one dog household. If all goes well, she will end up with a veritable clan.

This takes some of the sting out of losing her.

Bye bye, Cutie Pie:

Definitely a looker. A cute pup, too.

I always feel that my foster cats are going to far better homes than I could provide, considering I already have a houseful of needy felines. Still, some foster cats give me more cause for regret than others. Jumbo, the obese cat that I fostered while trimming some pounds off of her, still tugs at my heartstrings years later. The Great White Monster I fostered a few weeks ago will never be missed though; I actually feel sorry for his new adoptive parents!

Personally I think most dogs need at least one canine companion. They ARE pack animals after all and we can't be home 24/7. I suspect she'll do just fine

The more I see of your foster Shelties the more I understand why you love them so. I hope Coco makes the adjustment well and finds that forever home she needs.

If it weren't for the cat (who thinks he is a King and hates dogs with a passion) I could be so tempted.

What a lovely girl. I hope that the placement will be a very good success for all parties involved.
