Joining The World Again
Tue Jan 29 2013

Well, it's official. The lane is almost free of snow and is passable. Suzie Cube and I are free to go. In honor of the occasion, I have something planned for almost every day this week. And to cap it off, an invitation to a birthday party for a friend. Life is good. Though with all this driving around, I'll have to actually purchase some gas for the car. I can't remember the last time I filled it up. I suppose there are some advantages to being snowed in. :-) There are still patches of snow here and there, but mostly we can see the ground now. It makes me want to put a shovel in it. I got out my garden seeds the other day and had a short discussion about tomato propagation with Mr. P., he being the expert on this plot of land. I SAW his tomato crop last year. It was impressive, and I intend to watch and learn. I realize that thinking about this in January is maybe being a little premature, but I just can't help it since the snowy grip is loosening. Yesterday, I hauled up three wheelbarrows of wood from the barn. I felt stronger. It wasn't as hard to do. Maybe this year I'll have as many muscles as S. does. She throws hay bales around that I can't budge. I have also determined that in the coming days I am setting to with a will, to knit up some new inventory for the farmer's market. We are changing the day of the week, and the hours this year. I'm looking out for a different way to display my wares that is not so vulnerable to gusts of wind. And today, I have decided to do something I haven't done for a long time... If I succeed, I'll take pictures.
