We are home.
We are tired.
We are happy.
Spent the week away from home visiting an astonishing number of friends scattered hither, thither, and yon. Got more hugs than I could count and met some new friends in the bargain.
It was Epic in a way. It was the first time I had gone on a trip alone in almost a whole year. I got my gas money's worth too. It was rejuvenating to connect with friends who have been such a help and a blessing to me over the past many months, and get to say thank you to them in person. I still have ordeals to go through before I can focus on whatever the future holds for me. My strength was flagging, but now I feel stronger.
While I was away, many of the tomato seeds I planted indoors came up. And basil too. The peas in the garden have several leaves on them now. The weeds are growing too. I'll deal with them tomorrow!
Here's a picture of a new to me flower I saw when I went to see a friend of a friend…. they are called Baby Blue Eyes.
They make a carpet on the hills if they get a chance...
Sunny stayed with her cousins while I was away. She is laying here behind me as I type this. I think she misses them. She seems a bit glum.
So, we shall launch ourselves into spring mode this week and see what we can do with our garden. I'm going to have to make some decisions about where to plant potatoes. The seed potatoes I bought at the feed store before I left are sprouting in their paper bags in the back room. Now is not the time to be wishy washy.
(Says the waffle queen.)
I have to say, ( ) , I didn't miss you.
