Of Fonts and 'Taters
Mon Jul 08 2013

Oh Em Gee. I'll try not to bore you with the sordid details of all the fonts I have looked at this morning, trying to find one to use for my blog header. I downloaded 16 [literally] fonts to try My favorite one is the following…. angelic     Yes, that is the name of the font. Cool eh? Alas, it didn't translate very well into the space allotted. So I had to make other arrangements. You won't believe what I just had to do in order to display that font. Three different programs were put to use. I know there are constraints in web publishing in the font department. We have just a handful of them available to us that are shared with almost everyone. I have never quite understood this problem, and have always chaffed at it. Wild.001     [Click on it to make the whole thing bigger] So, I will muddle along with what I have. (I'm sure everyone is quite thankful that you DON'T write with that nightmare font. They would all go blind trying to read it.) Well, there's that…. But dude, I didn't just spend and hour and a half of my life searching for and downloading fonts to let them go to waste, languishing on the hard drive. Oh, before I leave to actually do some really real work, in the really real world, this is what happened with some of my potato harvest... Tater Fate   Melt a slap of butter in your pan. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on it. Pop yer potato halves on top. Bake at 350 for… well however long it takes to cook the potatoes. Mine were in about 35 minutes I think. Yummo!     lime wild

Ooh, might have to try out that recipe! My favourite for new potatoes is to toss them in olive oil and balsamic vinegar then bake them - amazing taste!

ooohhhh, ooohhhh, potato yummy. I will have to try that. I get the font thing, I have gone through something similar numerous times, only to give up and go somewhat plain. And you don't want to do plain and neither do I, we each have a small amount of flamboyance and want to flaunt it. Keep trying. I like the new look.
