Summertime and the Livin' is …Easy?
Thu Jul 18 2013

Whoa… time… like… went by didn't it? I have been busy actually doing things. It's that time of year. No staying indoors feeding Bruce every hour and trying to keep from freezing my toes off.  No contemplating winter's philosophical questions while staring out the window at the bare tree branches. I've been running here and there…stacking wood, pulling weeds, re-arranging my kitchen cupboards, felting a knitting project, [photos will follow when it's dry] eating my first crookneck squash, mowing the lawn, sewing, baking some killer 3 Seed Bread, knitting a hat on commission, and generally keeping myself occupied. Red Hen Lecturing   I'm so proud. I could…. lay an egg. I'm so tired, I need a serious day off! And in between all this virtuous activity, I have been wracking my brain for some brilliant ideas for using this yarn which was sent to me by a friend... DSCN1111   The colors are inspiring. So cheerful. That lime green makes me sooooo happy! But I'm drawing a blank, and I want to pull a rabbit out of my knitting hat and make something really special with some of this yarn.  [Thank you A. !] I should probably stop trying so hard, and just relax. Something will pop into my brain when I'm least expecting it. Maybe if I went out and stacked some more wood……?

Please don't over do in the projected heat. Take it a little easy. Drink lots of flavorful teas. Can't wait to see your finished project and the bread. Info please? The yarn is fantastical colors, love every one of them. How about a tam or beret with a knitted design? And Mitts, and socks, and a scarf. Or if there is enough for a large needle knit throw for the winter with neat striping using the colors?

Aha! That's the name of it!! I've been searching my fried memory banks for weeks trying to remember.....though right now I could not exactly tell you why; it just seemed important to know, if you know what I mean. I have NO idea what you should make from it, but rainbows do come to mind as do summer flowers, lakes and evening sunsets........ Anything else I can do to to help? ;)

"She" mentioned she was going to send you the yarn ... fun colors! I second Linda's comments above in you making something cheerful for yourself for winter, for sure!
