Finding Balance
Sun Oct 13 2013

It's foggy this morning. And pretty chilly. Bruce is my bosom buddy today. I have pinto beans simmering on the stove, and some green chilies roasting in the oven. A brace of end of the season tomatoes sits on my counter. They will all end up in the same pot by the end of the day. My parents are in their home. I was going to say settled, but that would not be accurate. There are still things to be found and put away, and the computer to set up, etc. But the coffee pot is working and there's milk and cereal in the house. Kinda like camping. In all the hub bub of moving them in, I managed to attend the last farmers market of the season. We had a nice time. There was a young man who played his guitar and sang songs. There were big pumpkins. And I sold one of my bags. Nice not to get skunked on the final day. :-) I'm trying to make a plan of attack to get a bunch of my own business taken care of this week. One of those things is to take Sunny to the vet. I think she still has another, or part of, a foxtail festering in her thigh. It just won't heal up. So we are going to have to do the drastic. Except for her vaccinations, Sunny has never had to go to the vet. She is the healthiest dog I have ever seen. We have been blessed that way. If the sun comes out today, I am going to do my best to pull up the rest of the garden plants that the frost has killed. I'll still have carrots and parsnips, sprouting broccoli, brussels sprouts, and kale. Plus a couple of odd chard plants I'm leaving in, just in case they want to grow a little while longer. I haven't forgotten Violet. I actually wrote part of the next chapter on the airplane. I just need to get caught up on my life to have some quiet time to write. The saga WILL continue, as I am able. Here's a picture of the market… it was a gorgeous fall day... Last Market   lime wild

I enjoyed reading this, but I am just too tired to think of a comment. Night.
