Overachievers
Tue Nov 12 2013

We are having such mild weather, and it has gone on so long, that everyone in the area is still working in their yard and garden. It's like we can't stop. We have had an extraordinary amount of time for the normal projects, and we just keep adding more of them because it seems imprudent to let these opportunities pass us by. Only thing is, we are all exhausted! Today I ran the mower over the lawn one more time and picked up all the leftover leaves. Fall2   Then I gave Suzie Cube a good scrubbing. She was looking pretty grubby, poor thing. Fall1   It took me a while to do it, but I removed several acorns that had gotten wedged under the windshield wiper hinges. Pesky little blighters. Then I went down to my sister-in-law's house to collect some iris bulbs. That turned into quite the task. They had grown into one large MASS and did NOT want to be separated. We finally prevailed and I brought them home and planted them near the house. Fall3 The deer don't eat them. It's about the ONLY think they won't eat. They have decimated my planters and I decided the free salad bar is CLOSED for the winter... Fall4     The weather people say we will have rain tonight. I hope they are right. We all need a rest.   lime wild

I really hope it does rain. For many reasons, but one I need the most is rest. Then I would like a couple of more nice days to finish. :) Nothing big left, just a little more detail work.

"pesky little blighters..." I know where that came from!
