A rainy day again.
No matter.
We always have things to do indoors around here...
Multi-grain bread on the rise.
Speaking of grain, I have been reading about interesting things to feed ch….. um, interesting experiments with grains.
I decided to sprout some and see what Mr. P's chickens think of them. They need a few more days to grow some nice 'grass'.
I was amazed at how soon these wheat berries sprouted. 24 hours and they all had little white buds coming out of them. Truly amazing. What a wonderful plant.
A nice close up..
Good lord, I hope there are no palm readers among you. If so, I would have absolutely no secrets left would I ?
I raked a section of the front yard yesterday and amassed a wheelbarrow full of dead grass, sticks, bark and lots of bits of acorn shells. Winter detritus. I decided to start raking now, because the grass is thinking about growing, and I thought it would be easier to do all this while it's all short. I'm paying for my enthusiasm with sore muscles in my shoulders. But hey, they better get over themselves, because garden season is coming, and the workouts are going to begin.
Time to toughen up.
I could give you an honest opinion about those sprouts. How about passing those on over? Eh?
