Lakefront Property… For Now
Mon Mar 10 2014

Our rains continued for 24 hours. At times quite heavy. This has had an interesting effect on the ice pond…. Pond1   Sunny and I went out in the rain to take pictures of it. Because once it stops raining, it will begin to drain away pretty fast. At least that is what usually happens. We'll see this year, as the water table is very high right now. Pond2   I haven't been able to get a picture of them, because they are very easily spooked, but there are a pair of Mallards that have taken up residence. Boy, it sure didn't take long for word to get around in the duck world that there was a new water development available! Pond3   Sunny cannot resist getting in the water. Though she is not much of a swimmer. She tries real hard not to go where she cannot touch bottom. Pond4   I told my brother he could come up and go fishing. He mocked me. Hey, if the ducks showed up, who's to say fish haven't moved in too? It could happen. (You are such a rube.) Yeah, but I'm a lot more fun than you. (Perhaps. But I prefer sanity.) Sanity is highly overrated. Excuse me now, I'm going fishing. (Good luck with that.) Thank you.   lime wild

When I was a kid I remember it raining tiny fish. I found them out on the driveway after the rain. Weird, huh? It could happen!
