So here we are on October 6th, and it is supposed to be 89 degrees today.
What about 'the frost on the pumpkin'? Where's THAT I want to know!
Anyway, I went out into the garden today to build my sukkah. My temporary shelter for the seven days of the holiday of Sukkot. I finished the structure… though I would have to use that term loosely because any kind of high winds could blow it into the ice pond with no problem whatsoever. But it is SUPPOSED to be temporary.
(It's temporary all right, you'll be lucky if it lasts out the first night.)
For once I can't argue with you.
('Bout time.)
Now all I have to do is rig up some 'walls' which will be fabric, and go up in the woods and cut myself some branches to use for the roof. I'll take pictures when I'm all finished.
While I was out there sweating in the heat, I noticed a bit of an oddment on the crookneck plant.
There's one part of the plant that is still growing but I think that part may be confused by the weather or something because it's having some kind of malfunction….
They usually don't grow THAT close together.
I'll let them grow one more day, then they are on the menu for tomorrow's dinner. Malfunction or no malfunction, they look edible to me!
