S. and I took a walk up to the creek today to see what the high water had done to my hang out spot.
Turns out, not much.
All was pretty much in order.
We sat in the sun and watched the water pass by.
I found a heart shaped stone and began trying to balance it.
I know this looks like a slam dunk balance.... au contraire. It's only an illusion that it's resting in that nice little notch. The bottom stone falls away sharply where the top stone is balanced. I should have taken a picture of it from the other side.
You'll have to take my word for it. Besides, it was the shape of the stone that I wanted to take a picture of anyway.
It felt good to balance in my favorite spot again.
I hope to spend more time up here this summer. There are other land art projects I'd like to try my hand at.
We'll see what we can conjure up with the materials at hand.
