I find that I do not know how to write a blog post without including illustrations.
So here is something from the archives. A metal sculpture that lives alongside the freeway from a local artist. A lovely dragon. Not long ago, during a storm, the wind knocked him down. But he was quickly righted. I never drive by without giving him a nod.
I'm easing back into farm life. Slowly. I transplanted some volunteer kale plants into the raised beds, and am contemplating where to move a few berry plants that I really need to get out of the garden as they create a bit too much shade which most vegetables don't care for. I did rake up the oak tree detritus from winter storms off half of the lawn yesterday and started on the leaves that the wind blew up against the chicken run fencing. But quickly realized that it was a day's work in itself. Hoping to get to it next week if it doesn't rain.
I'm sprouting my seed potatoes in the Room of Requirement. In another 10 days or so, they should be ready to put in the ground. My favorite crop of all time, followed closely now by the incredible edible kale. It's kinda nice that they also cook up nicely together into potato kale soup.
Anyway, here's hoping that the photo situation will work itself out soon.
(You realize that your dependence on illustrations perhaps puts your blog more on the 'comic book' category of the literary spectrum don't you?)
I can always count on you to see things in the worst possible light.
(I call 'em like I see 'em.)
I think you need new glasses.
