Adventure the Fourth
Fri Jun 24 2016

Today we did not stray from the homestead until afternoon. And then we didn't go far. C. wanted to try her had at watercolors, so I set her up with all the tools she needed, and she did all the rest... Here are her first forays into this gentle art form: Art Cheryl 1 Art Cheryl 2 She looks like a natural to me. :-) I worked on a watercolor myself, but can't show it to you just yet. It will be heading out soon as a gift for a friend. When they receive it, then I'll post a photo of it. Then we packed up our camera gear and headed up to the creek. Where she proceeded to produce her first stone balances: first balance C I love that rectangular rock she found to work with! first balance b And that dark one with the stripes! It was a day of firsts! I stayed out of her way and didn't hover. Seemed like that strategy worked. :-) While she was busy learning the craft, I practiced too. We did everything on her list. But we are both kinda tired from so much fresh air and activity! Sometimes I forget I'm an old codger. But we'll recover soon enough and start planning our next series of fortunate events.   lime-wild
