High Summer 2016
Tue Jul 19 2016

The garden is in full on 'take over the planet' mode right now. Everything is thriving, for which I am very grateful. But rather than taking in the big picture today, I decided to get up close. I'm sorry this first photo is not as sharp as I would have hoped. The one shortcoming of the camera I have now is that there is no viewfinder. Just the screen and it is difficult to see if you really have something in focus. So here's your science lesson for the day.... If you take one of these.... DSC01701 And add one of these: DSC01694 [the one with his fanny up in the air...] if the planets align, you may get one of these: DSC01702 A nice ornamental pumpkin. Over in the carrot patch, things are progressing nicely. DSC01709 I 'et it by the way. Right after the photo and a rinse with the hose. Lastly, I tried really hard to get a picture that would show the glowing heads of the cone flowers, but cameras have limitations. Just trust me, that in person, they all look like they have flames coming out their tops in the morning sun... DSC01714 They are a marvel.   lime-wild
