The rain has been raining all around for days and days, on and off, lighter and heavier, though not heavy enough for the ice pond to even THINK about making a puddle. The water has been soaking into the soil and not running off, which in many ways is a good thing. Filling up the aquifers. It's been particularly delicious to sit in my chair by the window in the evening and listen to the water dripping off the roof onto the leaves that cover the ground on this side of the house. As soon as I got the coop all nice and tidy and cozy.... Phoebe and Goldie decided it was their turn to molt. . . . yep, feathers everywhere again. Those girls. So the days have been all about feeding Bruce, who keeps the damp and chill away, baking bread, making soup, and generally settling in for winter. The weather has also created enough indoor time that I finally finished up the last of my October pages just in time. November is on the doorstep. dsc02367 I'm really enjoying this art journal project... I have an idea of what to do when I'm finished with the whole book. We'll see if it works out. There's a little surprise coming on Wednesday. I'll be spending my time the next two days preparing. I have a feeling I'm going to need some free time to enjoy said surprise. . . :-)   lime wild
