The big storm that is racing through the middle of the state, is only grazing by us today. At least at the moment. The sun keeps trying to shine through the dark clouds, and once in a while succeeds.
During one of those moments, I happened to get a good look at my geranium plant in Ten Forward.
I brought the big tub indoors before the freezing weather, and it has been very happy living in its southern exposure all winter.
A few days ago, it started blooming...
It's such a treat to see a flower.... anywhere.... at this time of year.
It's an act of defiance. Though it is easy to forget that a pane of glass and a layer of plastic are all that's between this perfect blossom and climate mayhem of the first order.
But we won't spend too much time dwelling on it.
(No. Let's. It's a subject filled with philosophical juices to savor.)
Not today (). Not today.
