Not long ago, I sort of had this semi-resolution to blog more consistently.
I think the semi part of that resolution took itself a little bit too seriously and here I am, once more a slacker.
My apologies.
To my surprise and delight, S. left me a bag of lemons on her counter as she has gone out of town for several days. And of course, there's only one thing to do with a brace of lemons.
(Ahem.... a 'brace' is a pair dimwit. Not a collection.)
But I LIKE the sound of 'a brace of lemons'... it has a certain ring to it.
(So does 'a brace of dimwits', but alas, there's only one of you. Ergo, to be grammatically correct, we will have to find some other way to express ourselves won't we?)
No.
We won't.
Here's what I started with... minus a stick of butter that was in the microwave melting:
Actually, I ended up making a double batch and that means there were eight eggs instead of four. Lucky for me the girls are on the job and I have plenty of eggs again.
Here's the end result:
Food of the gods.
And because I was in the kitchen already, I also baked a little bread...
(Are these the only foods you ever make? I'm sensing a trend.)
No. It's just they are so photogenic, I can't let them go unblogged.
(I don't think that's a real word.)
I don't think you are real parenthesi either.
(That is not the plural form.)
See what I mean?
