Overnight Transformation
Thu Jan 04 2018

Something happened last night while we were all asleep. The frigid fog packed its bags and moved out. Just like that. It's 53 degrees out there right now. Astonishing. I decided that this was the day to tackle the mess in the corner of the dog pen. In fact the whole dog pen period. I'm amazed that my desire for warmer weather came about overnight. This was yesterday.... DSC04293 After two hours of work today.... DSC04294 I feel positively giddy. :-) It was very satisfying to get my hands in the dirt. One thing that certainly doesn't show is that I moved my lovely Aster plant from one of those long planters, into the garden. I am hoping that it will spread out now, as it was quite root bound. I repaired my little gate which was having some issues and cleaned out the coop a bit while I was at it. The hens got to roam around in the dog pen while I was working. They were very happy to have a new place to peck around and they ate green grass for about an hour. They seemed very content. I am more than content this afternoon. I'm positively smug. lime wild
