Not long ago...
(Don't lie. It was December.)
It FEELS like it wasn't that long ago.
(You are old now. You are no longer a reliable source for the correct measurement of the passage of time. Accept it.)
That's harsh.
(So is being your inner critic. I'm just trying to get this over with. Keep writing.)
Okaaaay....
In December... I wanted to bake something for S. to add to the present that I gave her. I know she is fond of graham crackers and I thought I would try to make some from scratch. So I went on an internet search and along the way found something I thought sounded WAY better than homemade graham crackers. Cookies that were MADE from them.
Oh yeah...

Check them out....

I love cookies. I really do. I'd pass up cake and ice cream any day for a good cookie.
Because I love ya, here's the recipe which only makes one pan of cookies, which is good. Everyone knows that's it's bad manners to eat more than a dozen cookies at once.
Buzz 15 whole sheets graham crackers (the new skimpy sized ones they make now) in a blender or food processor to make nice crumbs.
Add:
1/4 cup white sugar
2 T. brown sugar
1/2 t. soda
1/4 t. salt
6 T. butter melted and cooled
1 large egg beaten
1/2 t. vanilla
Mix all this up. I used a small scoop to make about 14 or 15 cookies. You can roll them in balls smaller than a walnut. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. They are pretty delicate when just out of the oven, so wait a few minutes before you transfer them to a cooling rack.
You can thank me later. :-)
