An Observation
Tue Nov 10 2020

Something dawned on me yesterday.

I'm just going to make a note of it here as a reference in time for my future self.

It seems very clear to me that we are witnessing the expression of two distinct realities.

Some people are living in the one reality and some people in the other.

We can see and hear each other.

But we are not in the same place in space and time exactly.

What seems 'real' to the one group, is not bourn out by facts to the other and vice versa.

Literally.

At first it creeped me out.

But now I find it oddly comforting.

Go figure.

I often wonder what a mind meld to the other side would be like.

I've had a hard time with the division of beliefs in our very divided country and I wish everyone could come together a litter more for the benefit of everyone but it certainly doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon. It makes me very sad.

I agree totally and I'm afraid I don't find it comforting at all. It makes me fearful for the future of our country and our children and grandchildren. I pray multiple times a day that we can heal and leave the hate behind us.

I agree - Our world is very very confusing right now. It is hard to have an open and understanding mind with such harsh contrasting opinions surrounding everything we have taken for granted: Health, living, freedom etc. What a mess

It bothers me, how polarized our country has become. I sincerely believe all forms of media have contributed to this polarization. I look back, and as horrible as 9/11 was, it united us, at least for a while. Why did we allow ourselves to be torn apart is a question I ask myself frequently.
