Voting and Testing Ink #12
Tue Nov 05 2024

I have been keeping myself uber busy today with all manner of errands in town and little things around the house. I'm scrupulously avoiding the internet and the news. I don't want to hear any more speculation about the election right now. I cast my vote this morning. In our little town, there's no such thing as a line. 🤣 And I got to visit with one of my friends who I only really see when we have voting as she is the provisional ballot officer. She leads a very busy life the rest of the year and it's hard to connect. But she's always there on voting days. We had a great visit.

The Fire Chief was manning the machine that sucks your ballot in. We waited till it clicked over on the number counter to make sure it read my ballot. I was voter number 61.

So here's one of the things I did to keep busy today....

I think this is the third or fourth blue in the Inkvent calendar.

"Snow Globe"

It has a bit of shimmer in it, but not dramatic and doesn't show up on photographs well. But it's a nice blue that I would probably use for writing at some point. I'll just leave the glitter at the bottom of the bottle!

I got out a different calligraphy nib from my dip pen collection for the weather report. That brand has very sharp edged nibs. I forget the brand. I've had those nibs for decades! I decided the more variety the better, to show off the different qualities of the ink.
