Cognitive Psychology
Sun Sep 25 2005

Well, I seems to be riding a cognitive psychology wave…I can be like that some times – once some idea got into my head, I would go way beyond the scope of the initial quest. So, while looking for something else, I’ve been aimlessly clicking on the side links, which took me some other places, with even more side links, on which I clicked too, and they took me somewhere else again…and that somewhere else had its own fancy side links, which in turn…you’ve got the idea…it is so easy to get lost in the Wild Wide Woods, especially, if each new path you take entices you more then the one you’ve just left…Anyway…being interested in practical psychology recently. Not on professional level, of course, but purely out of inquisitiveness of my ever restless mind… accidentally I’ve come across a quizzy. This was not your fancy funny quizzy (though I do like them too, especially, with the cute pictures on results page) This one was serious (well, somewhat) and required an e-mail registration and other “scientifically serious” stuff…so I’ve done that Personality test, the free part of it (it costs money to get 100 page report and I don’t feel the need to know my personality that well yet). Despite of rather simple populist questions, the results came up with the 4.5 mark on my personal scale of truthfulness. So I’m going to post them here for the future references, if I ever want to look at it again:

Your Personality Type
You are a realist who places a high value on trust and loyalty. People notice that you are passionate about your views and that they can count on you when you make a personal commitment.
Your Motto
"If you are going to do it, do it right."
How You Work best
You function best when you are in a predictable environment where expectations are clear. Too much change and unpredictability can make you feel distracted. You are most productive and at your best when you know exactly where you are headed.

I must admit, there is one thing I didn’t like in it: that I am useless in unpredicted situations. I’d like to be able to argue, but when I thought of this more carefully, I think, I ought to agree…unfortunately I am that boring “GotToKnowAllInAdvance” type. Oh well, I will console myself by knowing that at least when I am distracted, I am still able to have a realistic view and not get carried away by some illusive dreams…[ha..ha]

    Oh yeah, I'm organized..
    hahahaha
I also like things to be somewhat predictable, but then I also like to go off on the illusive side of life..

I like to be truthful also lovely Lana there is something healing about the truth even when it is ugly I guess because truth is always seeking to express itself to creep outside of the cracks and crevices of the mind and when it is not consciously allowed the pressure builds until you set it free
now here is a private goody for you

I"m pretty sure you aren't useless in unpredictable situtations.

but okay, let's test it. Let's say that you are sitting on the couch, and suddenly out of no where a bear leaps into your home and smashes your lamp. What do you do?

    A) Invite the bear to lunch, and start buttering yourself.

    B) Clean up the shattered lamp and chide the bear like a small child

    C) play dead

    D) Scream, "la la la! I can't handle this! You're imaginary and I"m going CRAZY over it!!!"

Yes so, well, I think it's obvious if you answered C you get three points. If you answered B you get one point and two mommy ribbons, and if you answered A you get minus one point, and if you answered D obviously the point system doesn't work for you.

And these are points to the game of life, of course.

    hello lovely Lana
that is beautiful that you have a master in science degree and a microsoft degree well I should have that after all these hours of blogging

I promised you a verse for your beautiful journal actually this is a verse that I love to give as a wish for good luck I hope I havent typed it in this journal before

I had decided to study some physics after using only the mushy side of my brain I think science and art is beautiful---

    starfire
a recent mad nobel prize winning physicist tells me that the orbits of our atoms extend thousands of lightyears into space
and I believe him with all my heart and mind
therefore I have spent pale yellow mornings on saturns rings
I have skimmed the icecrust of the jovian moon
the constellation libra shapes my backbone
the northern lights bring me delerious delights

therefore I must know the universe of you
I travel the infinitismal design of your mind
    I unfold into your lotus
I can feel the hot air that makes you rise
I am the alpha and the omega
I have seven glorious early morning stars
and I give you one to illuminate your dreams with starfire

you are a beautiful philosopher the absolute truth is relative and it all depends on how you define truth
I like the zen way of argueing where there is no right and wrong and so many shades of grey

now here is a question for the road ha ha is cyberspace in your opinion limited ha ha some people freak out when I ask them this
    love you
