The Wall. And Wish List.
Thu Oct 27 2005

The title is bold and sells what it says in plain English: this entry will be about the wall and the list...

So we’ve built The Wall. Literally. Not with bricks though. With partitions. Our nice and spacy new office, that looked like a gym, now looks like one huge corridor of emptiness and a cosy little sections behind pinkish dividers…like private cabins, you know…;-) [~wink wink]  It is so much better now. Not only because I haven’t got those panic attacks every time somebody’s walking by behind my back and making “boo” noises, but I also have brand new walls to pin all sorts of bugs&butterflies and other things on them…5 new walls, to be precise…so plenty of space…[~one wide happy smile]

We’ve also made a Wish List. Well, we’ve been told to put to a list of anything we think we will need to have in our new office for increasing  the effectiveness of the working process…so…we took a white board and wrote our list on it, so that whoever thinks of any Absolutely Necessary Thing, just writes it down…that's called a team work. I’m going to post a picture of it as it’s too unbelievable if I just re-type the list…[~of course, that has nothing to do with me being too lazy to type] . It started with very good intentions and was pretty decent until up to…the 5th point…and from there the unlimited imagination and fantasy of us have got out of hands…do you want to know what would make sysadmins happy at their workplace? …anything from bouncy castles to the jelly wrestling pit:

Now, the dream started to come true today – the first wish was granted and we’ve got The Wall…not a Berlin-style, but we still can make it very real spraying graffiti all over it... So we now wonder at which point our management will stop to take us seriously and whether we’ll get that Chocolate Fountain…
