There is this TV show here on bbc1 where two classy girls help women to express their inner selves through their looks and by buying expensive clothes. And it is normally a show that you would only watch if you’ve got accidentally glued to the sofa in front of tv and you can’t reach for remote control. So yesterday I watched how they transformed a menopausal woman into …well…a woman. It was impressive, I must admit. And inspiring. And made me want to change. But in a less expensive way of course.
So. I’ve found this website. And have wasted whole night at it. (Yep. I’m that crazy. And I’m still at work next morning. I’m that responsible.) This is one of these places, where you can be something other then you are. As I said, I’ve found this page, where you can upload your own photo and then try on (literally) different styles of haircuts. For those who won’t bother to click‘a’link, I’ll mention that there are over 4,000 hairstyles + 53 colors you can play with. Apart from traditional hairstyles, you’ve also got a list of celebrities to choose as well. Both, male and female. Oddly enough the best celebrity’s hair style that suited me very well was…of Richard Gere…(I hope, you didn’t think that I would go trying boring female styles there, huh? That would’ve been not much fun!)
I’ve also experimented with colors. And found that the best is the one I’m currently in. A blonde. A friend asked if I always been a blonde and I said “I donno…” I mean – I’ve been that way for so long and I’m so old that I can’t remember it. I was purple once. And those who have seen it, assured that it looked good on me. A purple. But it was just a wig. I’m not that un-conservative to color purple irreversibly. That might scare off little kids. (Not that I have any) Anyway, it was a good question – what is your original color. And I didn’t know the answer. So I’ve decided to find out. Now there are various ways of telling true color, sure, but WE will only discuss one, ok? Roots. Yeah, so I looked up my roots. And I’m not gonna tell you now, coz now I’m going to quickly re-color them into the general color scheme, and no one will notice. So I can happily continue to be a blonde. Yeah, comes with a mindset ;-)
