I’ve been thinking about friends and friendships…I know, it’s not a new topic. But still today I am thinking about friends and friendships. Some friendships are so easy to have. You don’t do anything and it is there all the time. Any time you get in touch, it is always light-hearted joy and smiles, just like playful touch of the sun to your face, bringing giggles and laughs and a sense of happiness. Some friendships you don’t have to work hard to keep them. And when you’re feeling down, somehow your easy friends come forward and bring their great news and make your day into a happy one. Isn’t it amazing how we can be happy for another so much that our own unhappiness is melted away?!
My friend has just become a daddy! I know nothing outstanding is in the event itself. But Jemy being my very special friend and the birth of his son has special meaning to me. We met at some on line IT professional forum, while I was studying for Microsoft exams in 2001. We became close friends since. And get in touch every now and then. And when I visited Egypt last year we finally met in life…this was truly a happy moment! We witnessed remotely so many events of each other life’s and know so many each other’s secrets, that it feels like we are more relatives then friends now. I am so proud of my friend, so much enjoy his success in life, I watched his steps to grow away from a boyish careless young man he used to be when we first met. From a distance these things become more apparent. He might not even notice himself, but he became a truly wonderful person. Someone I consider an honour to have as a friend. And now the news about his newborn son have brought such a joy to my heart! Some things are so worth living for. And one of them – sharing of joy and happiness in life of your good friend!
Congratulations, my dear Jemy! You will be a good dad and I’m sure you’ll be a fun* to have as dad for your little boy as well! [*you know what I’m talking about, don’t you? ;-) LOL]
