I’m writing this entry only because I want to mark the day I have started a house renovation project. So this is today. Not the whole house, mind you, only the bathroom. But it is big for me. In all senses, from arranging for people to come and do their bits, to financial funding. Until today it was all in imagination and now the ceiling is gone and a new one fitted and the next step will be big too running wires where they never were before. After that I think, I can relax a bit, hopefully the rest of installation should be straight forward. I’m planning to complete in a month, yet of course, there are factors and circumstances and dependency on other people. Always frustrating when you cannot do a job yourself. So this is the beginning and I wish to say to myself: good luck, my dear, you can do it. And you will enjoy it in the end.
Have you seen the new gadget of Google – Google Art Project?! You can virtually visit some famous museums of the world. There is a link on Google home page or you can check it out here This is so awesome! High respect to Google for developing all these things. If you do go there, check out the Uffizi Gallery, and Hermitage in St Petersburg oh and the Palace of Versailles. (in the palaces don[t forget to look up the ceiling!) Actually, just check out everything! I’m totally hooked. They’ve got a lot of museums to choose already and I do hope they will extend the list. Possibilities are endless!
It is only February and while half of the planet still wrapped in a white blanket of snow, at one particular address it seems like the spring has paid preliminary visit. Look what I found in my garden today: a flower!!! The Nature’s ways are total mystery or you can see it as a mental issue she is having, or maybe she just forgot to check with the calendar. Either way it was a pleasant surprise and I do like surprises regardless of the reason they come.
