Latest on the SirCam Email Worm

It has a name, the 'SirCam Worm'.

Bottom line, if you are infected it will start destroying files in October so get your system cleaned. Judging by the amount of email we're still receiving (and now automatically bounced) containing this virus there are still a lot of people with us ([email protected] or [email protected]) on their address books that still have this worm on their system.

    This is one reason I refuse to use an address book for my email. It protects those that I corresponde with via email. So if I ever ask twice for your email address, please forgive me. I try to save old emails so that I can refer back..but that doesn't always work.

    I go away for a week and return to more DearDiary1 entries than appeared in the entire month of June! Remind me not to turn my back on you guys again.

    I've a ton of Boston pictures to get developed. I'll stick a few on the Album to try out the new features when I get them back.

    As for your recent loss, my heartfelt condolences. There are valid reasons for bringing an animal out of surgery before it goes to its final rest, but the decision is personal and is different from pet to pet. I grieve for you and your family, and regret I wasn't around to leave a more timely message of condolence.

    what the hell is going on?

    someone publically abuses my diary by accusing me
    of threatening children and YOU... delete the

    Since we're talking about unwanted things coming onto the computer via the internet, could you please make some kind of policy about Comet Cursor and other things people put on their pages that automatically download things people may not want onto their pc's? Thank You.

    i have a question about this email virus... i would email you but i've had it come through my computer twice and i don't want to cause problems.

    I have opened the email, but I didn't open the attachment. Am I still going to get the virus? I'm running a virus update now, but I still want to know...
