Payment processing is now functional so people can in fact Go Plus (we decided against using Go Pro for the title of paid accounts, for what should be relatively obvious reasons).
We received a very large donation yesterday - I won't go into too much detail at this point because the donor may very well want to remain anonymous. But suffice to say the donation has shown me the value that people do put into the DearDiary.Net project, the resurrection especially. Thank you anonymous donor - you know who you are.
We're almost ready for the MVP release (that's minimum viable product). Actually, arguably we're there already, but I'd like the ability for people to read public diaries (if there are any) before considering it an MVP.
What will be left to do after that? Lots...
- Get Bullet Lists, Number Lists and Checkbox lists to display in the editor...
- Re-enable viewing of comments
- Introduce the ability to leave comments.
- Introduce notification lists (i.e. Subscribe to this diary type stuff, as well as notifications for the diarist when comments are left)
- Introduce threaded comments
- Enable settings for diaries, such as theme choice, layout choices etc. This will need careful thought.
That's the immediate future plans. The previous entry gives some additional thoughts on that. And there's some BIG plans for massive functionality utilising the latest tech but that'll be announced closer to the time.
