Apologies if you've tried to use the site this evening - I'm in the process of moving servers, for a bigger more responsive server. Actually quite a lot bigger. I've also tweaked some of the indexes on the database which has improved the responsiveness for diaries with lots of entries.
However, DearDiary, as always, is the nuisance child, and the database is so big that it doesn't like to be moved.
I need to get some sleep, so I've abandoned the move for tonight. I will re-begin tomorrow. So the site will be off for a bit tomorrow. Hopefully most users will be in bed when that happens :)
And when it comes back, it will also be on a brand new set of software - but more about that in the next entry!
