I've released a minor update to the platform.
- You now get your diaries shown in the Dashboard on the right hand side, no more need for a 'Your diaries' option on the menu bar.
- Clicking on the diary title in the diary list on the Dashboard will now take you to 'Create Entry'.
- Diary Settings is now available from the Dashboard diary list. Changing the title of the diary is now available under the diary Settings screen too.
- More 'types of diary' entries are now available from the home page - not that dashboard, though they probably should be.
I've made this change as new users seem to be struggling with creating entries, with many people seeming to have created entries on their diary homepage instead of actual entries. This way, they're taken straight to create entry - with the hope that they'll decide to make a diary homepage later if they want to. And since all of the new users are running private diaries the diary homepage isn't all that relevant to them anyway.
For normal users this may reduce the amount of clicks needed anyway, because I suspect most people are logging in and then immediately creating an entry rather than reading old entries on their own diary.
I've also fixed some bugs:
- The Stripe API was broken. It's not any more.
- Viewing the diary homepage (if you can find your way there!) was showing incorrect text when looking at your own diary if you hadn't customized it yet.
- Google Ads Landing Pages have been re-introduced.
I'm sure there was other things too - but I can't remember what they were 😀
