I have today released another update to the DD software. Yay!
This doesn't introduce any new features but does improve usability particularly when editing. So, here's the list;
- Fixed the comment count to show all (visible) comments, not just the top level ones if there are replies to comments.
- Big editor update... When editing an entry or creating a new entry, you can now use CMD-S on Mac, or CTRL-S on Windows/Linux to save your entry without needing to use the mouse at all. Of course you can still use the mouse, but you don't have to 😀
- The editor now recognises many more activities as needing to be saved. That is, the button will switch from green to red if there are changes to be saved. Previously this only worked if you typed or deleted text. It now works with formatting as well, so changing to bold/italics/underline etc will show you needing a save. Adding images etc should also do the same.
- And, the big one, if the Save button is red meaning you have unsaved changes, if you try to navigate away from the editor screen you will be prompted with a warning that you have unsaved changes. If you click Cancel you will return to the editor. If you click Leave then you will be allowed to continue navigating but your changes will be lost.
I think I've also fixed a niggle for those that use the unique sharing link feature. I think I've stopped the box from keep popping up when you navigate in or out of an entry that has a unique link code associated - but I find it difficult to reproduce that one so please let me know if you use that and it's still doing it!
