Reader Comments Wonky

I've had reports of Add Reader Comment not working like it should. Most notably it seemingly chooses a random diary to actually do the addition. I'm not totally sure why this is, but I have put some extra tweaks in place to ensure the integrity of the comments system and I hope it'll kick it into touch.

When adding comments please make sure that the confirmation page says you are adding to a diarist that you expect. If its not, try pressing CTRL-F5 (if you're using IE) and see if it reverts properly. If it doesn't do it even then, mail us with as much detail as you possibly can.

Also, you may see a 'Cookie Eater' screen when adding a comment for the first time since Friday last week. This is part of what I believe has gone wrong and the cookie eater screen is trying to clean the mess up.

I should say that I believe this is a system failure and not a crack attempt of any kind.

    I just left a comment in Kaliko88 diary and it said the cookie eater got me too!!

    LOL.....I thought it was a joke, hehe

    This appears whenever I try to subscribe/unsubscribe from anyones lists. I am not sure if any of them are actually processing my request or not. I have tried emailing support, but to no avail. I am not the only one getting this error, I know IronicAngel is unable to subscribe to mine also...

    Sorry to put it in the comments section as I know you hate that, but the help isn't working :)

    hey guys. just wanted to stop in and say YAY GIFS cos i've been keeping them in my user graphics too, as the album wouldn't allow me to load them there.

    also - quicklinks... yesssss. so very helpful.

    can i just say again that i love DD? i've actually looked and started several diaries on several different sites, looking for the one that would work best for me, and you guys win everytime. (though, lol, i have to say i could do without the soap operas that happen from time to time...ahem.)

    but thanks again. i honestly appreciate it.

    OH MY GAWD! I cant believe this actually is letting me leave a comment. I havent been able to all day, due to "stale cookies", and its killing me (sooo many people wrote about interesting things I must reply to).I filled out the support form, but I dont know if it will go through (I got an error for that too, earlier). I'm going nuts over here.
