What's For Dinner ?
Thu Mar 06 2003

Everywhere I look today at my house, there are little piles of stuff that require my attention. The way I am dealing with this at the moment is to sit down and write about it. Can we spell a v o i d a n c e ?

On my desk are bills to pay, on the computer desk there are papers to put away. On the kitchen counter there is junk mail to sort through (there’s a house payment bill in there somewhere so I can’t just scoop the whole pile into the trash). The bed needs made, the kitchen cleaned up, the floors vacuumed and the sliding glass door washed. There are weeds to dig in the flower beds and seeds to get in the ground. Onion, lettuce, spinach and oh yes, I promised to start some extra Cherokee Purple tomato seeds for my friend D. And the highlight of the household chores today includes cleaning out the cat box which is exuding a distinctive and persistent odor wafting out from the utility room door. Lovely.

THEN, I need to go to the library to pick up a book I requested. Return some movies to the video store, go deposit a small check at the bank, go to the kosher butcher, way across town, and then get some things at the grocery store. Oops, this requires making a list, (add grocery list to the list).

THEN at the end of the day I am supposed to go to Yoga class. Oh yeah, dinner, what’s for dinner? . . . .Seriously, what’s for DINNER ??

Ahhhhhhrrrrrrrrgggggghhhh !

Oh, of course, kosher hot dogs, from the kosher butcher.

Whew! That was close….

I am going to stop saying that I am looking for a part-time job. I am going to start saying that I am getting a SECOND job.

Homemakers don’t get no respect.

Lol, yeah, admit it, home duties is a job, the pay just sucks, that's all. ;-)
