Today, I decided to ride my bike up to the creek instead of doing my usual walk. I wanted to balance a few rocks first thing in the morning while it was still cool.
Balance I did.
It's a simple looking balance, but that top rock was lumpy and heavy! I sat uphill from it while working in case it fell. It DID fall once before I finally got it to balance and I was glad I wasn't in it's path... That top one is pink granite by the way.
This one was even heavier.
Then I added a cherry on top. Just for fun.
Watch out for that pit...

On a completely different note, I have a scarf on the loom. I wanted to use up some leftover yarn from other projects. I'm not sure how it's going to turn out. It looks a bit Harry Potterish right now...

We'll know in a few hours. I plan to finish this up today.
It's my way of staying in out of the heat. The whole west coast is having a heat wave. Me? I'm dreaming of snow. I'm cultivating a fierce desire for the stuff. Heat and droughts will do that to a person.
