Whisper Of A Thrill
Mon Nov 10 2003

Last night we watched the movie "Meet Joe Black" with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. The WHOLE movie. We had seen it before on television and unbeknownst to us, they had chopped whole scenes out of it to fit their commercial driven time slots. (Dolts and hackers all)

Anyway, it is an adult film as there is a pretty suggestive love scene in it, so I wouldn't recommend it to kids, but it's an interesting concept for a story.

Now I am not normally a Brat Pitt fan...Most of the time he looks like he needs a good slap in the face,. . .but he does a pretty good job in this movie.

But what I am hear to rave about is the soundtrack by Thomas Newman. Which I went out and bought today. Oh my goodness what a beautiful piece of work! The very best song on it IMHO is "Whisper of a Thrill" which has some absolutely riveting violin harmonies that if you listen closely are really wild. I love this song. Unfortunately I cannot find a clip of it on the internet. Amazon has clips from the soundtrack, but not of THAT one.
(Dolts and hackers all).

It's worth a rent at your video store. It's a bit long, and they drug out a few scenes past the effective point, but that's all I can fault it on at the moment.

I wish I could share the song with you....

Hmmmm wait a minute...

Nope can't even find a midi of it. Too bad, too bad.

I added about 1300 words to my novel this morning. This means tomorrow I really need to make the keys fly. (Either that or the Dragon breathe fire)

Don't you just love it when you can't find something online? And I'll bet it's there, somewhere.

    Have a great evening!

Hope you end up getting hold of that soundtrack. Good on you for doing some writing, no matter what. ;-)

I don't go to movies. Hate theaters. Always have same yakkety-yakkers sitting near me, or someone rattling candy wrappers all during the show. Also don't watch movies on TV, but rarely, because of all the cuts to make time for the commercials.

I am almost always disappointed if I watch a TV movie made from a book I've read. Although I must admit, sometimes the scenery in the background is better than my imagination.
