Bah Humbug!

Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way……

To what?

After reading Bookworm this afternoon, it spurred me to write this short rant about money.

I was just telling hubby last night, that it might be extra obvious right now because of the Christmas advertising…. TV, radio, mail, in the stores, on the street….. but it just seems like everybody wants our money.
All the time, everywhere, 24/7 and I am getting sick and tired of it.

I went out today for a few groceries and encountered the swarming mob.

I made some quick calculations and decided except for bread and milk and eggs and what not, I might avoid going shopping until the 15th of January. Dang. It’s a ZOO out there.

That’s my plan. We will see if I can stick to it.

Robbie had to have a bath today, and it was not the warmest coziest day for it. He got the shivers afterward, so after he had been out for about a half hour to get the major drips off him, I turned on the fireplace and put a blanket down for him. He has finally stopped shaking and is toasting his toes right now. He usually avoids the fireplace when it is on, but today he is not arguing with me about staying there.

Have to run.. Shabbat approaches….

I hope your shopping plan works. Poor cold little Robbie. Glad to hear he's all roasty now. ;-)

You're preaching to the choir here Yetzirah about the money grabbers. Lucky Robbie I wish I had a bath.

Think the 15th of January will be late enough. The after Christmas sales seem to go on forever.

So, Robbie has learned the value of the fireplace finally. Now you can toast together.

    Shalom
