What Day Is It Again?
Fri Dec 26 2003

This is the strangest time of year.

Christmas and the days following, up until the 2nd of January, you just can't count on anything being..... "regular". People are gone, businesses are closed, schedules are whacky and I never know what day it is.

But I guess it's a good thing. Working people need a break from the relentless routine and I suppose I can put up with a few days of not knowing if it's Sunday or Wednesday, what the heck.

We had a nice visit with hubby's mom today. Met some new family members and generally ate too much.

Oh yeah, yesterday I finished the first draft of my novel.

I have no idea when I will feel ready to tackle the extensive re-write, but at least I got my hero back home. It was quite a journey for both of us.

Well, I have had just about enough of everything tonight and am ready for bed.
I hope you had a happy Christmas or that you had a Hannukah filled with light!

I managed to stay awake tonight after lighting menorah candles. They really light up the place. One more night to go. The place will be ablaze (figurtively).

Your day sounded pleasant, and it's nice to stuff yourself on someone else's cooking.

    Shalom

Congratulations on finishing the first draft of your novel. It's a milestone in itself. Take a short break, then plan time to get back into the rewrite. I'll be here to urge you on. ;-)
