I Wonder If BillyTeabags Has Seen Bob?
Sun Jan 18 2004

So here’s the news.

Bob has disappeared.

One day he was lurking under the bird feeder out on the patio, waiting for a succulent chickadee to make one false move, and the next he was missing in action.

Now Bob had become an outside cat due to the nasty habit he had developed of spraying our walls and furniture…… just for fun. He took up the pastime casually one day for reasons that remain a mystery to us.
So he was shown the door and fed on the porch from then on. He always came running when we called and was never too far from home and slept in the garage at night. He was only allowed in the house under supervision and frankly, he didn’t really like it in here any more. He preferred the great outdoors and the lovely possibility of fresh chickadee as mentioned above.

But for the last several days we have not seen hide nor hair of Bob. We are left to speculate. I favor the theory that some kind soul decided he needed a home and took him in. (Think he will remember not to spray THEIR furniture?) Hubby seems to think he may have had a serious run in with one of the local stray cats that took a chunk out of his ear sometime this last fall. We may never know.

Oh, and I wanted you to know that I heard from Billy Teabags…. He left this comment on one of my entries :

Hey there!

I was alerted to your recent entry and I have to say I was very touched by what you wrote (and all the responses!)

Things are going really well over here. Christmas was fun, my little project is going nicely and it hasn't rained in two days. You can't ask for more than that, eh?

About my own diary: I've been planning on taking it up again in the very near future. After the weekend, I think. Monday maybe?

I see there have been some changes to DD since I last updated, some that I don't understand. I'm going to have to look at the official DD diary to make sense of it all.

Have a great weekend, eh. (thanks again for all the well wishes!)

Yipee!
We can hardly wait !

I had a comment from Billy yesterday too, or it was there to greet me this morning I should say. :o) I am glad to see he's coming back.

Our Grover (the mutt) disappeared right before Christmas for two weeks, then showed up much skinnier but no worse for wear. Your Bob may be lurking somewhere, waiting to surprise you when you least expect it. You know, screeching outside your bedroom window at 2:30 in the morning.

Sorry to hear bout Bob. Hope he comes home intact. Maybe he found a new friend. Or a place where chickadees are more cooperative. Have you tried the shelter?

WHOOPPEEE!! Billy Teabags is coming back. I can hardly wait.

    Shalom!

I have a 'Bob' cat, too. Luckily he doesn't spray! I hope your Bob has found a new home. (Sometimes they spray when they have bladder infections, I think? Salamander might know)
Good work on flushing Billy Tea Bags out of hiding ;)
