She's Got The Whole World In Her Hands
Wed Feb 18 2004

I have finally chosen a name for my fictional planet. (All the good citizens of said planet are breathing a sigh of relief) The name of my planet is:

Dhriana

home of

G'var Eldaath The Great Tree.

I came to the final spelling of the planet, oddly enough while on my walk this morning looking at a tree. I am at peace with it, and I am NOT going to look it up on Google either. Any similarity to things in real life is coincidental and of no importance. So there.

I can now go forward in the re-write, secure in the knowledge that my foundation is firmly under my feet. I think I can smell the air of the place and hear the sounds of the wind moving through the trees. Now the poor residents can sleep secure in their beds tonight, knowing that all is well. The almighty author has named their world.

(Somebody get a bucket of cold water and douse the little despot will you? ... Thank you very much.)

Huzzah! A drink to celebrate do you think? Wet the planet's head as they say? I like it Dhriana has a nice ring to it, I very much like the home of the G'var Eldaath that has a very nice ring to it indeed.

I checked for you. "Dhriana" is a perfectly safe choice. And no, I would have said absolutely nothing if I'd gotten a hit.

Excellent choice, glad you went with your favorite pick - after a fashion. I like it too.

Is the 'i' a long 'e' or long 'i' sound? How abut the 'a'? My initial pronounciation was Dhreeahna. I LOVE your work. You, too. God Bless...
