The Moon and Planet Walk
Sun Mar 28 2004

That's what I get for trying to get out of cooking dinner....

I expressed the desire to go rent a movie and have a fish sandwich at McDonald's to Hub Man a little while ago. He readily agreed and off we went to the video store, where we chose Pirates of the Caribbean and something called Someone Like You. Neither of which we have seen. Then we noticed Burger King was in the same parking lot as the video store so we went in there instead of McDonalds and had our fish sandwiches.

We hopped in the car and headed home.

We almost got here too....

Until we ran out of gas about a mile from our house. :-)

Isn't that precious?

Thank goodness I had on an extra sweater because there was a cool breeze blowing. I took off my Birkenstocks and went barefoot walking on the asphalt bike path all the way home. I can't walk really fast in those things.
It was lovely actually. We got to see the planets lined up just like I had been reading about on the internet yesterday. I think it's Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Mercury all in an arc in line with the moon, clear across the sky. It was beautiful out there. And just think! I worked off some of those french fry calories!

To Do List:
Convince Hub Man never to let gas gauge go below 1/2 tank.

(Good luck with that.....)

Thanks, I'm going to need it!

Hoo boy! Good thing you weren't 10 miles away from home.

I go out each evening and check out the planets. I can see Venus from my living room window, and I know it's time to go out and check the rest of the heavens. I even walk to the shul sometimes (where there's not so much light), and gaze and marvel.

    Shalom!

Good movie choices Johnny Depp in Pirates is a hoot, and Hugh Jackman is very sweet in Someone Like You. I envy you the view of the stars you must have, we can't really see much out our way with the pollution and city lights but it does sound beautiful I like looking at the stars.

    Dear Yetz
That sounds like the sort of day I used to have (before I became housebound)! I have ordered the Pirates DVD and I'm looking forward to watching it soon... I'm a Johnny Depp fan... especially for Benny & Joon, Chocolat... I think he picks his roles well.

Yup, definitely a guy-thing. The Socialist pokes fun at me because I get upset when my car dips below a quarter tank. I have only to point out that *I've* never run out of gas. I'm not usually heartless enough to bring that up though.
