For those of you interested in Diary reviews or critiques, I just ran across one the other day that is pretty good. You can visit it here:
Weblog Review
If you sign in, you can vote on the reviewed diaries/journals/weblogs.... I never know the REAL difference!
I have run across a few interesting diaries from reading the reviews, though none that I would re-visit. . . yet. I also find it rather amusing that we even HAVE such a thing! Web sites to review web sites :-)
It looks like most of the people who do the reviews are volunteers and their opinions are varied. I was even considering volunteering to do some reviews myself, as a writing project. But for now, I am visiting daily and just getting a feel for the place. Today I pretended that I would have to review one of the diaries that I was reading and I found out that I would have given it a VERY different rating than the official reviewer did! So if you want to submit your diary for a review, don't feel TOO bad if they don't like it, there's no accounting for taste. :-)
The Diary Critic (Click on the link in the menu at the left of my page) at least has a set system for giving out points. (Appearance, content etc.) But The Weblog Review ratings are just whatever the reviewer decides at the time of the writing. So it's a little more difficult to really interpret the numbers. IMHO. Some reviewers make it clear what they are giving points for, and some don't.
I really must run now and take my Passover brownies out of the oven. The whole house smells like chocolate. (Such a problem!)
I will leave you with a photo from the garden:
