What do you mean "Dream on." ? Unhinge. Unhinged. That's a scary thought. Makes me think of a window shutter being whapped back and forth in the wind until it .............. comes unhinged. What could a person possibly accomplish in such a state of mind and emotions? How about this list of stuff I have done this morning: 1. Payed the bills. (God willing they are getting mailed to their proper places) See, the creepy thing is, I used to just do these things and be at rest. Checked the stuff off my list and smiled a satisfied smile of accomplishment. Now, I KNOW I am not as clear headed as I used to be and I worry that I have made some fatal error that will cause me trouble later. Therefore, NO REST. No peace of mind. And no smiles either. What needs to be done as the day wears on: Straighten up the house. Is this possible? I sure hope so. I don't WANT to come unhinged. I don't WANT to be discombobultated. I don't WANT to be. . .
Yes, my capacity for "collected thought" or "decisive action" is most definitely impaired.
How do you like that word, "discombobulate"? I actually USE that word in conversation. Maybe I should ban it from my vocabulary. Do you think that would help my state of mind?
That sounds like a pretty good analogy for my state of mind today. Yep. Pretty close.
