Whew!

I have been making up for lost time around here today.

Now that I look back on it, for the last two full weeks, I have not been in top form physically, with this and that going on. I will not go into the details.

( Thank you SO much!)

You’re welcome.

Anyway, I felt it coming on last night. It was time to move some furniture around here. But the kitchen was all disorganized and I needed to cook some things, so I started there. Well, not really. I started by writing a weblog review. That takes me at least an hour and a half most of the time.

So after my review was scuttled off to the nether regions of cyberspace, I started some rice to cooking to add to some fresh tomato soup I made a few days ago, hoping to pass it off as a whole new dish tonight!
I boiled a dozen eggs to make salad for sandwiches, I put an egg custard in the oven. And sliced up several plums and put them in the food dehydrator. I did up the dishes and cleaned out the questionable leftovers from the refrigerator and noticed that I need a light bulb in there. (Put it on the list)

Then I had lunch and re-grouped. I had decided to clean up the computer room and move a soft chair that was in the bedroom in here so I have a place to read in the evenings, and to move my writing desk into the bedroom in it’s place. But first I had to go through a pile of stuff that had to be recycled or taken to the Salvation Army. I cleared it all out and then moved a desk…. (5 foot long) into the bedroom by taking all the drawers out and tipping it on its side and dragging it. I actually got it in there all by myself! Then I decided to go through a pile of old binders with all my poems and essays and put them in the other room.

Now I have a cozy corner in here with a chair covered with a wedding ring quilt. And my friend C. says she has an ottoman that she will give me, as her place is a bit too crowded right now. Isn’t she sweet? That’s just what I needed. Now all I want is a small table to put next to it where I can pile books and balance a cup of tea on top of them for good measure.

Speaking of tea. I have a cup of Republic of Tea’s Blackberry Sage in front of me right now. It’s fruity dark aroma is wafting up my nostrils as we speak. And thanks to whomever it was (is that proper English Pragmatist?) that left the comment about the Numi Golden Chai being available at the Whole Foods Market in Portland. My son and daughter in law said they would pick me up some this weekend and ship it down. Now THAT is a wonderful example of Dear Diary Networking in action!

Oh yeah, and amid all this hoopla, I did 4 loads of laundry!

I feel like my old self today. She used to do this stuff with one arm tied behind her back. Me, I have to make hay while the sun shines and take full advantage of these rare bursts of energy.

Now, off to yoga class for me. A perfect end to a very satisfying day.

And just think, homemade tomato rice soup will be waiting for my return!

Shhhhh...you're making the rest of us look bad. :)

In all honesty though I know exactly what you mean. I used to do all that stuff too. Those wonderful bouts of energy don't seem to come my way as often as they used to. *sigh* I get tired just thinking about my list and right now don't have time for it anyway. I'm off to haul the kid to Beaverton for hockey.

Enjoy your new space. It sounds very comfy.

You wear me out just reading about your activities.

Did you try the white tea? Satisfactory or no?

Sounds like it should be whomever, but when you take the sentence apart you see that it is ...whoever it (two pronouns taking the plans of one noun-subject) was (verb-predicate). The "thanks to" is another part (introductory) of the sentence. I could diagram it for you. Oh, please let me. I love diagramming sentences.

    I shooda bin a teecher.

Got a cute reply from Dustbunny3 about my grammar rant.

    Shalom

I made egg custard awhile back and it had bubbles in it and was WAY too eggy. If you have a good recipe and hints for making it, I would love it if you'd email it to me when you get a chance. Thanks!

As ever I am in awe of your domestic productivity as I sit here and try to ignore the telepathic call of a stack of dirty dishes in the sink.

Tell me how to bottle it and you shall never want for exotic teas again!

Wow. I mean, WOW. I don't know when I've been that ambitious. You are just plain impressive. Must be all that sagebrush and juniper!
