Amnesia Lane

A trip down amnesia lane, as Robin Williams said once....

Here is a picture of Brindle, my LaMancha doe and her newly minted babies, circa 1982. A sweeter tempered goat, you would never have found.

When I was a little girl growing up on a ranch we had goats, too. I adore goats! Ours were mostly Nubians. The orphaned lambs and the goats were my favorite playmates. Milking several goats at six a.m. isn't much fun, though.

Growing up we had cows and chickens and bunnies, but never goats. Mom was not partial the them. Come to think of it she was not overly fond of pigs either. It had something to do with chasing them as a kid. Don't know why she didn't like goats. They're cute.

    mon petit gateau
a county fair thanks for the magic of your words that is something i only experience in virtual reality you know stuff like charlottes web ha ha wow a radioactive cone that sounds pretty racey
    happy birthday to your man
this is a beautiful goat she looks like she is all dressed to go to town and shes naked if life could be so simple for the rest of us hee hee well i guess it could be if we willed it that way ha ha i wouldnt want to think of the consequences though of going naked downtown ha
the other night at the city campus i heard all this hooting and wild calls and these male students go running by totally naked it was so hilarious they shedded all their cultured academic training i guess and let their primal urges take over
and ofcourse i am never quiet and passive about anything so i started screaming but i was laughing my head off inside did that ever shut them up hee hee
that is what happens when you go to the library it is as bad as going to the county fair and seeing all those naked sleek bodies
beautiful stuff mon amie i can hardly wait until next weekend when i read you again

I grew up in sheep country. I don't remember anyone ever raising goats. Not even the 4-F kids.

Cattle we had lots of too.

Remember the stories about the Wild West, how the ranchers and herders and cattlemen were all at each others' throats? I think a lot of that was made up stories. At least in my neighborhood they got along.

Your La Mancha is a pretty girl and her babies darling (as babies are). La Mancha must be a great grandmother by now. Or maybe great-great.
