Things are calming down here today. I am fortifying myself to enter the bathroom and spend a
It has fallen to the bottom of the list long enough that it IS the list, if you know what I mean.
As I sat at my desk in it's new spot in the bedroom today paying bills, I noticed something. The desk is right under a window that looks out into the garden. What I saw was that the sun is starting to have that look to it. The angle is changing toward autumn.
Oh, I know, it's July. But the light IS changing. There's something good about it. That's all I can say. Things look better in it. It changes my attitude.
The mailman came just a little bit ago, bearing a package. Inside were three boxes of Numi Golden Chai ! Thanks to my Portland shopping spies and special family purchasing agents, I am tea rich!
So I have this crazy idea.
Let's have a Dear Diary "Harvest Moon" Chat in August.
That would be Saturday evening the 28th of August. Say, 6 o'clock Pacific Daylight Time.
Here's how we could do it.
Go to Yahoo.com and set up an account with them. (It's free) And download the Yahoo Messenger software. That's free too.
Use your deardiary username, unless you are already signed up. Then send me your username in a private comment to my diary. I will add you to my Yahoo Messenger list.
Then at the specified time, I will invite those who want to participate into a private conference room on Messenger and we can chat.
I thought about using the forums on DD. But they are slower to use and a bit cumbersome for more than just a few people at once.
I am putting the date a ways out, because frankly, I am still learning to use Messenger and need some more time to get proficient enough to know what to do if there are mix ups. I am a newbie to chat rooms myself. So I am giving you time enough to get acquainted with the program too. It is a bit of a project to configure it and what not. But the chat room itself is pretty straightforward. You just have to use it and play around with it and find out what's what.
What do you think?
It might be a zoo. It might be fun. We might regret it. But we will never know till we try!
