A Good Day In January
Fri Jan 14 2005

Oh m'gosh, oh m'gosh, oh m'gosh....

Guess what?

I went on line and looked up "writers workshops" I think it was, and found to my great amazement and joy, a writers group that is just starting up. They are meeting next week in the evening at a Borders Book Store. It's a bit of a schlepp for me, probably a good half hour from here, through the most trafficy part of town, but it sounds like just what I have been looking for.

There are both men and women in the group and we are supposed to bring a piece of writing to share and there will be a writing assignment too. Oy! I don't know what essay to take with me. . . . But I am so looking forward to seeing what a group like this is all about.

I wonder if there are any NaNoWriMo participants? I wonder if there are any poets? I wonder if they'll think I stink? I wonder if I'll think they stink?

(You wonder too much.)

Yeah, yeah, I suppose YOU have to come along for the ride. But fair warning, you have to stay in my coin purse or something. You are NOT fit for company, you aren't. You have no manners.

Good.

Today my thankful thing is that I found this group. We will see how it unfolds.

And besides that, the scale said:

141.4 !

And besides that even, I have a clean and organized kitchen. Thank you FlyLady!

My goodness this place is just overflowing with good things today. Whoohoo!

Do Not Scream on Airplanes was good, but then so was the Oracle so I do not know what to suggest you take. I'm about as much help as ()....oh well, I'm sure you'll come up with just the right thing all on your own. After all you are having one great day! :)

Personally, my favorite is the one about the sweater with the little magic pocket.

Wow that's so exciting to find a group of people who are intersted in the same thing you are. I hope you have fun.

I think that's terrific! It's like this contest has been for me - lots of uncertainty at first, but so great to be working with people who are interested in the same thing, seeing what they do and how they think. I am sure you are going to love it even with the challenging drive. Woohoo!
