Today, thanks to a gift certificate given to me by my mother in law, I went for a pedicure to a very nice place not far from here. I sat with my feet in a warm bubbling whirlpool, was massaged and lotioned and now my toenails are the sweetest shade of pale pink you ever saw.
I feel so special!!!
This is a treat I may have to think about giving myself once in a while. The best part was when the lady put two hot towels over my lower legs and feet. Ahhhhhhh.
Bliss!
When I came home I found my first paycheck waiting for me in the mailbox. Woo Hoo! I hardly know what to do with it.... It is my habit to squirrel bits of money here and there for this and that. Save some, spend some, keep some for a rainy day, and THEN spend it. I wonder if I DO have any squirrel genes in my make up?
I leave you with some sage advice from Rabbi Nachman of Breslov:
"Whenever possible, avoid eating in a hurry.
Even at home,
don't gobble up your food.
Eating is an act of holiness.
It requires full presence of mind."
