Short Movie Reviews
Tue Jun 21 2005

Okay, no more geek stuff. I'll stick to the ordinary fonts.... for now.

Let's see. About the movies. National Treasure was REALLY fun. We laughed a lot. It was not advertised as a comedy, but it IS funny. Or we thought so anyway. A nice light mystery, done quite well. Though I cannot figure out why Borimeer was there... But it's Hollywood after all. Worth the rental price for sure.

Sideways was a different story. A very adult story, in case you are wondering. It's odd though. Here we have a couple of adult men pretty much behaving badly, but in the end things seem to come to a resolution one would not expect. It was not an obvious movie. There were nuances. Though it is always painful to watch a slow motion train wreck, you DO get to wondering who is going to walk out of it alive in the end.
Don't let your kids watch this until they are 40 though.

I got called to work yesterday for 3 1/2 hours. Just about all I could handle for the day to tell you the truth. But I hate to turn them down when they are in a bind to find someone on short notice. And after all, that's what I signed on for.

Well, I am sort of at loose ends today. Not feeling real chipper. Had a bad night. Up at 3:15 till about 4:30, so I feel a bit disoriented this morning.

That's about it from our place. . .

Tellya what. The next time I'm up at 3:15, I'll log on, and you log on, and we'll chat.

Well, isn't that better than tossing and turning and wishing you could get back to sleep? Maybe I can bore you to sleep.

    Try solitaire. Works for me.

    Shalom

Thanks for the movie reviews. Had to laugh about not letting your kids see that movie until they're over 40. My mother said something like that about it, too. ;-)
